Josef & Adele Fassbender took over the West End House in 1993 and steadily built up an excellent reputation for superb food served in cozy surroundings.

Josef brought considerable skill and experience with him to draw an exciting and varied menu which will guarantee that dining at the West End House will be a very pleasant and memorable experience.

Josef is a German native who previously had a very successful career in a number of hotels in Germany, Spain and England, including London's famous Savoy. Josef completed his Masters after the Savoy before coming to Ireland where he became well known to Killarney diners as a chef in the luxurious Hotel Europe and as Head Chef at the Hotel Dunloe Castle.

We base our cuisine on specialty dishes according to seasonally available ingredients. All produce used in this exciting menu is sourced locally thus ensuring that the home-made taste of the dishes are of the freshest and finest quality.

Good quality food at reasonable prices is the hallmark of West End House. It has constantly developed under the attentive care of our husband and wife team.

With a good mixture of fresh and available produce from Lobster to Steak we promise an experience that will never be forgotten!

We offer an a la carte menu and a special set dinner menu. The set menu is offered as a product as a whole and is a specialty one which is intended to tempt and tease the most resistant taste buds into submission, the kind which has seen diners returning regularly to witness how the cuisine can possibly be further improved.

Depending on availability we will offer specials. These will feature one ingredient heavily and display the variety in which it can be prepared and served.

We also offer an interesting and varied selection of wines which range from a simple yet seductive house wine to the extravagant Chateau Lynch Bages Pauillac A.C. 1995

Our opening hours are from 12:30pm - 2pm for lunch and from 6pm - 10pm for dinner.

We are Closed on Mondays and closed for lunch on Tuesdays.
